1. About these terms
These terms apply to every hire from Fancy a Cuppa? Vintage China Hire, run by [OWNER NAMES / TRADING NAME], based in Sheffield (“we”, “us”). By booking with us you (“the hirer”) agree to these terms.
2. Booking & payment
- We charge per item. The minimum order is £25, excluding delivery.
- Your booking is confirmed once we’ve checked availability and issued an invoice for the full amount.
- Full payment is required on or before the day of delivery.
- We accept cash, cheque, bank transfer and credit or debit card. A 5% surcharge applies to card payments.
3. Hire period
The standard hire period is up to 48 hours from delivery. Longer hires can be arranged in advance; each extra day is charged at half the original hire price.
4. Delivery & collection
- We deliver across Sheffield, South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire. Deliveries further afield are by arrangement.
- Delivery is charged at 60p per mile travelled, based on distance from our premises in Sheffield, with a minimum charge of £15. This covers the journeys to drop off and collect.
- Someone must be available to receive the items and to hand them back at the agreed collection time.
5. Looking after the china
Our china is vintage and much loved, so please treat it with care and respect. There’s no need to wash anything — simply wrap each item carefully in the packaging provided, ready for collection.
6. Breakages, loss & damage
Items that are broken, damaged or not returned will be invoiced after your event at the charges below.

7. Damage on arrival
Please check your order when it arrives and tell us straight away if anything is chipped or damaged. Items not reported on arrival will be treated as in good condition, and breakage charges will apply.
8. Changes & cancellations
- You’re welcome to add items or amend your order — just get in touch, subject to availability.
- You can cancel up to one month before your event for a fee of 25% of the hire charge.
- Cancellations made less than one month before your event are charged at the full hire price.
